The plan is to hold a fun shootout tournament between 18:45 and 20:45 and then head over to the Essence of Asia for a curry / thai and a few drinks.
The shootout will be run as follows:
4 groups of 4 players
Best of 1 game to 11 round robin
First player to 10 has to switch to English Scoring
Each player gets to call one ‘Powerplay per game’ – if you win your powerplay rally you get two points if you lose you get minus 1 point.
There will then be semi finals for the winners of each group and a final
2nd, 3rd and 4th place finishers across the groups will play off against each other.
Overall winner gets dinner paid for!
All standards welcome!
Cost is £5 to enter the shootout.
If we get more than 16 wishing to enter we will accommodate.
Then just as important as the squash is the after match social at the essence of Asia.
There is also the exciting news that First4Squash are launching their new online shop to our members on the 28th June and will have a few display items on show and demo rackets available throughout the night. Members will receive 10% off all products. Further details to follow.
We hope to get as many members involved as possible and even if you don’t wish to play in the tournament it would be great if you came to watch and went for the curry afterwards.
